30 September 2010 - London Mumpreneurs' DIY (Do your Own) PUBLIC RELATIONS NETWORKING WORKSHOP FOR START-UPS - 7:30am - 10:00pm

A networking workshop on Public Relations and marketing for start-ups: Many Mumpreneurs want to publicise their products or services but just can't afford to pay a professional PR agency to do it for them. The London Mumpreneurs' DYI PR workshop has been created to allow Mumpreneurs and other small and home-based businesses to do their own PR. Public Relations is a little like cutting your own child's hair; you know professional hairdressers will do a better job, but sometimes you just can't afford to use them and sometimes you want to have a go yourself! During the workshop mumpreneurs will learn what PR is, how to go about setting up a campaign and media release writing tips. This seminar will offer really practical advice about running your own campaign and what to gather before you start (e.g. photography and media samples), how to approach the media and even explains what not to do (i.e. 'don't call the editor too many times - no one likes a stalker!'). Top experts (PR Consultants, journalists, broadcast experts)!
