Dear London Mums
The summer hasn't really taken off so let's focus on what we could do in the following months indoor rather than outdoor. The London Mums events' team is organising a wonderful Xmas party as well as Mumpreneurs' fair on Sunday 16th November 2008 to be held at Eddie Catz Wimbledon. To attend you will need to register by replying by email and pay just the Eddie Catz Wimbledon entry fees of a regular day. Check on www.eddiecatz.com for details on entry charges. London Mums won't charge you a penny for this amazing Xmas party so make sure you register in time. If you are a mumpreneur and you want to attend, please get in touch as soon as possible. If you fancy going to the cinema with babies/toddlers take advantage of the Mum+One Film Club offer (see details below). Otherwise for this month we have a great 'Barbie' competition and another Special pampering offer from Cupcake. Also check out our expert's advice on how to cope with twins and various interesting product reviews. If you have a special advice request for our experts, please let us know and we will make sure you get the advice for free. And more exciting things for you to do: check out the programmes the BBC is currently making. They are looking for you so reply quickly if you want to become a mini celebrity. So do you still think our autumn will be gloomy?!! I hope to see you all at our next party!!!

Our book of the month is "TODDLER SENSE" by Ann Richardson: Imagine that your child is faced with a huge, empty canvas. As he grows and develops from a one year old tottering around on chubby legs, to a round toddler with a big head, to the more athletic build of the pre-schooler, he will 'paint' his way through these exciting and wondrous years, taking you with him on this precious journey... These toddler years are the transition between the baby he has outgrown and the child he is becoming. Ann Richardson, best selling South African author and parenting expert, has written an easy to read book Toddler Sense, to help you monitor all aspects of your child's development. Ann has a "no mess, no fuss" approach to solving some of the common problems in this age group, such as poor eating habits and sleep disorders. This knowledge will help you to understand your child better so that he can benefit best from his world.
BBC Television is making a major three-part series called WOMEN about contemporary women's lives. The series will look at the impact of feminism on contemporary women's lives.
