Budgetwise I can't confirm a figure yet but i aim not to make it expensive - max 10 pounds per mum and baby with an extra adult paying only 3 pounds. This is my ideal budget but it will vary depending on the amount of people attending. So the more the merrier.... The party will include entertainment and Xmas refreshments.
From October 2007, we will have regular contributions from a number of different experts in the 'What the experts say' section in this website. Some of you may remember Melody Mackeown from our post-natal classes in Putney. She has now qualified as a Nutritional Therapist with Distinction from ION. She will be exhibiting at the Baby Show at Earls Court on 19-21 October and will be offering you a 15% discount a first consultation to those who mention London Mums. To find out more about Melody, please visit her website: www.naturalnutrition.uk.com . She would be very happy to speak with you over the phone if you or your family have any health concerns.
Check out the Council's website for all free courses. There are really a lot of them.www.wandsworthlifelonglearning.org.uk
We are still in the selection process. Thanks to all of you who promptly replied. I will communicate you as soon as possible who will be selected for the job.

Subject: Video on hold
Hi Monica I would love you to let the mums know that the DVD is on hold until I get more answers about a new website which is doing almost the same thing. They are filming this week and until I know what their target market is on have place everything on hold. AS it is almost the same idea. Will keep you posted as I find out more.

85% of London Mums have already vaccinated or will soon vaccinate their children for MMR following NHS recommendation. Personally I have done my research and will vaccinate my son for mums, measles and rubella with individual vaccines instead of the combined MMR vaccine provided by the NHS. For your information, this is only available at private clinics and costs 95 pounds per vaccine. It's expensive but maybe worth considering all the potential side effects of the combined vaccination.
London Mum Ruth has recommended the scientific book 'Vaccination: A Guide for Making Personal Choices' (Paperback) by DR Hans-Peter Studer (Author), Geoffrey Douch (Editor), Matthew Barton (Translator). I have bought it on Amazon for 5 pounds and it's really useful before making any decision on vaccination.
Hi Monica Last week my wallet was stolen from my change bag in the "Natural Cafe" on Putney High Street - if you think it is appropriate, could you put a message out for mums to be extra vigilant. Thank you Victoria & Ben
Please join the London Mums' debates on Facebook. It's good fun and useful to find out what other mums think of certain topics. I look forward to seeing you there.
